An exceptional antique silver-plated teapot has been transformed by Utopia into an elegant and unique table lamp. The teapot is of urn form and was made by Deykin & Sons, Birmingham, in the late 1800s. It is finely engraved with beautiful repousse' work and dainty beading. The ornate cast handle has 2 black ceramic insulators.
The lamp has been created using coordinating chrome fittings, around 2 metres of silver retro-style twisted fabric cable and a white plug. The cable exits discreetly from the base.
Condition The antique is in lovely condition with only very minor signs of wear.
The lamp is dressed here with one of our limited edition(100) empire shades Hydrangea Bouquet, from the Romantic Botanicals Collection. Please note that the price is for the lamp only - all shades are sold separately therefore visit our Exclusive Designer Lampshade Collections for different shade designs and prices.

Utopia's Unexpected Lights
All Utopia's lights are unique and are handmade in our studios in North Norfolk from interesting antiques and finds. They each tell a narrative and enjoy close inspection to reveal strong craftsmanship and hidden layers of interest and wonder.
Creating our distinctive lights – the narrative behind the story Reclaimed elegance – the artefacts that Utopia sources for its lights are deliciously old, usually antique, sometimes vintage, and this ‘narrative’ is reflected in their character, patina and form – Utopia celebrates the knocks, chips, and scratches of their stories.
Peace of Mind Enjoy the aesthetics of top quality heritage styling: traditional twisted fabric cable, aged metal fittings, retro-style chains and plugs, whilst having the peace of mind that your light is safe, having been completely wired/rewired by experts using modern fittings.
Utopia charges a flat rate of £10 for all mainland UK deliveries. We no longer ship abroad.
