Exceptional antique metal hat box with makers, Gieve Matthews & Seagrove Ltd. and client (W. W. Edward) names on plates on the top.  Royally appointed and originally established in 1785 the company had a rich history as outfitters to the British Royal Navy. The box has a wonderful aged paint patina and is clean and tidy inside. There's a carrying handle and a latch.
