Framed 'Home (Blackbird)' no.21 of Edition of 50 Giclee Print
Home (Blackbird) no.21 of edition of 50 in an antique/vintage oak frame
An ethereal drawing of a blackbird and its nest. A pair of blackbirds nested in our arbour and raised a brood – in the winter this abandoned home formed the inspiration for this black and white drawing.
The print has been floated and framed in an antique plain profile oak frame.
Frame Dimensions height 34.5cm x width 43.5cm x depth 3cm
Multi-award winning artist Jac Scott, a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, approaches drawing in a similar vein to that of the traditional building process of creating a sculpture. The rhythm of multiple marks both build and extract until a form evolves from the ground. Her technique is paradoxically quick in hand movement yet slow to build – an average drawing takes about four days to complete.
