Home (Blackbird) no.26 of edition of 50 in modern wooden frame

An ethereal drawing of a blackbird and its nest.  A pair of blackbirds nested in our arbour and raised a brood – in the winter this abandoned home formed the inspiration for this black and white drawing.

The print has been framed in a square profile black wooden frame with a soft white mount board.

Frame Dimensions  height 45cm x width 54cm x depth 2cm

Technique

Multi-award winning artist Jac Scott, a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, approaches drawing in a similar vein to that of the traditional building process of creating a sculpture. The rhythm of multiple marks both build and extract until a form evolves from the ground. Her technique is paradoxically quick in hand movement yet slow to build – an average drawing takes about four days to complete.
