A heavy, beautifully made samovar of significant proportions, has been transformed into a unique lamp by Utopia. The vessel has a pedestal base with 4 bun feet, ornately cast copper and bone handles and extensive fine engraving around the rim. The tap has a bone detail.
Traditionally, samovars were used to carry hot water to the table for pouring into a teacup.
The lamp has been created using: coordinating brass fittings, E27 lamp holder, around 2 metres of mid-brown retro-style twisted fabric cable, an inline switch and a black plug. The cable exits discreetly from the base of the body. We have included a universal joint in the neck to maintain verticality of the shade.
