Morning Flight

An atmospheric, contemporary rendering of a barn owl flying over a meadow. Most mornings and at dusk, the exquisite majesty of this bird captivates us in the field opposite our home.

A barn owl is also a regular and magical sight at our gallery at Creake Abbey, Norfolk.

The prints are available framed and unframed in 3 sizes: A3, A2 & A1.

Technique

Multi-award winning artist Jac Scott, a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, approaches drawing in a similar vein to that of the traditional building process of creating a sculpture. The rhythm of multiple marks both build and extract until a form evolves from the ground. Her technique is paradoxically quick in hand movement yet slow to build – an average drawing takes about four days to complete.

Unframed prints
Please note that there is a blank border around the printed area to:

  • protect the printed edge
  • allow for mounting

To prevent damage prints are sent out rolled up in a heavy duty cardboard tube.
