Raw 257: 1930/40s Small Solid Copper & Brass Fire Extinguisher Table Lamp
An interesting lamp has been created by Utopia from a wonderful fire extinguisher probably dating back to the 1930-40s. The extinguisher has its maker's brass plate on the front proudly announcing The NuSwift Engineering Company, London. Made of solid copper and brass this nozzle is an attractive condition with surprisingly few signs of wear considering its role and purpose. Please study the photographs to assess its condition.
The extinguisher has been transformed into a table lamp with new brass fittings, around 2 metres of retro-style twisted mid-brown cable and a black plug. The hardwood base has been specially hand turned and waxed. The cable exits discreetly from the base.
The lamp is shown here with one of our natural cork fez shades which tones well with the copper. Please note that the price is for the lamp only - all shades are sold separately.
