Land Song Unlimited Edition Collection

The east land has a quiet song – a rhythmic beauty broken by staccato: tree, farm and village.

Tower Windmill, Burnham Overy Staithe, Norfolk

The sweep of walkers meander is etched in soil below the ghostly turn of mill sails.

The windmill was built by John Savory in 1816, it was last used as a corn mill in 1914 before it was tail winded by a storm. Mr H C Hughes rescued the derelict building in 1926 and presented it to the National Trust in 1958.  Find out about the history of the windmill and how to stay there here https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/brancaster-estate/features/-tower-windmill-burnham-overy-staithe-norfolk

Framed prints

A3 prints are available with white mounts and simple square-profile black wooden frames (featured above). The pictures hang from 'D' ring fixings and cord. A3 frame dimensions height 55cm x width 43cm

A2 prints are available with white mounts and scoop-profile white wooden frames (featured above). The pictures hang from 'D' ring fixings and cord. A2 frame dimensions height 78cm x width 61cm

A1 prints are treated differently - these are captured in Utopia’s signature style - a glass sandwich that reveals the wall behind, creating a floating effect that harnesses the wall behind as a picture mount. (See photos) The wooden moulding, available in black or white, with a chunky deep modern profile is made to order by our neighbours Fineline Frames http://www.finelineframes.co.uk/ To allow for this bespoke service an order takes around 3 weeks to fulfil. These giant pictures hang from side-mounted mirror plates.

Technique

Multi-award winning artist Jac Scott, a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, approaches drawing in a similar vein to that of the traditional building process of creating a sculpture. The rhythm of multiple marks both build and extract until a form evolves from the ground. Her technique is paradoxically quick in hand movement yet slow to build – an average drawing takes about four days to complete.

What are Giclee Prints?

The drawings are reproduced as giclee prints - a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper to achieve an inkjet print of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability. Utopia's prints are created by specialist fine art printers.

Utopia charges a flat rate of £10 for all deliveries in the UK mainland unless stated otherwise. If purchasing from outside the UK please contact us for a shipping quote.
