We've created an elegant, tall table lamp from a wonderful vintage clarinet made by Cabart a' Paris.
The clarinet was sourced in a state of disrepair and unable to be played, it has been restored, then transformed into a table lamp. The nickel- plated keys are matched with new nickel electrical fittings, around 2 metres of retro-style twisted black cable and a black plug. The significant sized base has been specially hand turned from hardwood then ebonised (French polished). The flex exits discreetly from the base.
The lamp is shown here with one of our limited edition (100) Fanfare shades from the Literati Collection. Please note that the price is for the lamp only - all shades are sold separately.
Dimensions: height 69cm

Utopia's Unexpected Lights
All Utopia's lights are unique and handmade from interesting antiques and finds in our studios in North Norfolk . They each tell a narrative and enjoy close inspection to reveal strong craftsmanship and hidden layers of interest and wonder.
Creating our distinctive lights – the narrative behind the story
Reclaimed elegance – the artefacts that Utopia sources for its lights are deliciously old, usually antique, sometimes vintage, and this ‘narrative’ is reflected in their character, patina and form – Utopia celebrates the knocks, chips, and scratches of their stories. The inspired selection of the original object and the process it goes through to make it covetable, is what makes our products special – every lamp is a one-off.
Peace of Mind
Enjoy the aesthetics of top quality heritage styling: traditional twisted fabric cable, aged metal fittings and retro-style chains, whilst having the peace of mind that your light is safe, having been completely wired/rewired by experts using modern fittings.
Utopia charges a flat rate of £10 for all mainland UK deliveries. We no longer ship abroad.
