Citrus Fondant Cake Original Oil Painting On 1930s China Tea Plate

6500

An original oil painting featuring a little citrus fondant cake topped with a sugared orange slice.

Fondant fancies - where the sugar high is balanced with a succulent centre.

Painted by renowned artist Jac Scott, on a tea plate from  the 1930s with a hand painted raised floral border in the Blossom design, made by Thomas Forester & Sons Ltd, England.

Dimensions 14.5cm x 14.5cm

On the back of the plate is the title of the painting and the artist's signature.

These simple still life food studies look great on their own or even better in a group. Building a plate-scape is simple as they are ready to hang with a brass plated hanger, so super quick and easy to attach to your wall. Alternatively, you could place the plate on a special stand.

WARNING It's fine art on a plate only - don't ever use them for eating or put them in your dishwasher!
