The ancient greeks believed that a new human soul was born every time an adult butterfly emerged from its cocoon.

The antique copper kettle was used as a sample by salesmen to save travelling with heavy, cumbersome, full scale examples. The beautiful specimen butterfly is from a vintage museum collection. This miniature world is presented in a glass dome with a base created from an antique wooden lamp base. 

Please note that there is a small, yet discreet, mark on the glass - hence the lower price.
