The ancient greeks believed that a new human soul was born every time an adult butterfly emerged from its cocoon.

A beautiful, old specimen butterfly from a vintage museum collection, is placed on an exquisite antique silver-plated finial from an old teapot. The finial is cast in the shape of a berry fruit and its  leaves. This miniature world is presented in a new glass dome with a with a painted base.
