Framed 'Home (Blackbird)' no.34 of Edition of 50 Fine Art Print

An ethereal drawing of a blackbird and its nest.  A pair of blackbirds nested in our arbour and raised a brood – in the winter this abandoned home formed the inspiration for this black and white drawing.

The print has been framed with a double white mount with a black core and a modern black/dark brown textured wooden frame.

Dimensions  height 44cm x width 56cm x depth 2cm

Technique

Multi-award winning artist Jac Scott, a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, approaches drawing in a similar vein to that of the traditional building process of creating a sculpture. The rhythm of multiple marks both build and extract until a form evolves from the ground. Her technique is paradoxically quick in hand movement yet slow to build.
