Land Song Limited Edition Print: Burnham Norton, Norfolk
Utopia: The Unexpected Gallery presents a collection of prints from original black and white drawings by multi-award winning artist Jac Scott. Inspired by the beautiful Norfolk landscape the sensitive renderings capture both a love of nature and a contemporary approach to drawing.
Land Song: Burnham Norton, Norfolk
In Burnham Norton, marshes wrap and ooze watery ribbons of grey sky. Reeds form natural weather vanes swaying in the breeze, whilst beyond the edge, where watery and aerial worlds collide: creatures dance in the interface embracing the fluctuating borders of their habitat.
Multi-award winning artist Jac Scott, a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, approaches drawing in a similar vein to that of the traditional building process of creating a sculpture. The rhythm of multiple marks both build and extract until a form evolves from the ground. Her technique is paradoxically quick in hand movement yet slow to build – an average drawing takes about four days to complete.
Unframed prints Please note that there is a blank border around the printed area to:
protect the printed edge
allow for mounting
To prevent damage prints are sent out rolled up in a heavy duty cardboard tube.
The Land Song Collection
The east land has a quiet song – a rhythmic beauty broken by staccato: tree, farm and village.
The Land Song Collection features sparse vistas with intricate detailing in the forms.
